“Please be informed, in order to comply with the Local General Law 2015 of the City Council and the Food Law 1984, without a valid license from the City Council, you may not sell any kind of goods on the street, on the walkway or on any land under the control of the City Council.
The current illegal trading on the walkway is associated with serious dangers to public health. The City Council is interested in this issue and looks forward to your cooperation.
The Public Forces Officers will patrol the Footscray Business Neighbourhood, anyone caught selling any goods without a license can receive a fine of up to $500, followed by the procedure of prosecution and confiscating your items.
